Big.Blend, my final Masters project for my MSc in Computer Animation at
Bournemouth University has been completed. The application uses registration
curves to create automaic blends between motion capture segments. I've
developed a webpage to show samples of blends and to present an application
breakdown.
To access the Big.Blend website just

My final Thesis is due within 3 weeks. So far the Automatic motion blending
tool is coming together. With Dynamic Time Warping and Automatic alignment
implemented (some more features are still to be added). While the structure to
facilate constraint matching is being developed. I'll be posting some example
movies up here over the next few weeks.

Stage 1 of my automatic Motion capture
blend tool is complete. The application writtien in C++ utilizes the FBX SDK
(so its application independent) to create linear blending between motion
capture segments.
The next stage, which leads onto my Masters project will be
creating automatic blending using
Registration Curves,
and creating a proof on concept piece. Watch this space for more feature to be
added to the tools capabilities!

Fleck! Is an interactive flocking tool
based on the Reynolds paper Flocks, herds and schools: A distributed behavioral
model .
The tool allows users to specify the weighting of rules such
as cohesion. Also included is predator/prey relationship, and collision
avoidance.
OK, it doesn't look very exciting, but it looks pretty cool in
action. You'll have to take my word for it!!!
